Truck died while driving

So after driving for about 30 minutes, truck suddenly started showing 0 fuel pressure. I floored the gas pedal and nothing. Coasted to a stop and pulled off the side of the road. Car would start barely and still showed 0 fuel pressure on my gauge and below 10 psi oil pressure. I was told could be the fuel pump or coil packs aren't sending a spark. Any thoughts?

what year truck is it?? if its an 04-08 f150 i would suspect the fuel pump driver module located above the spare tire on the cross member. they corrode and water gets inside them. going by your name bar you have a 97 f150 i would suspect maybe a fuel pump or wiring to the pump.

If you have no fuel pressure, it might be any one of the following:

Fuel pump, inertia switch, fuel pump relay, PCM power relay, PCM, fuses, associated wiring, out of gas, etc.

You'll have to do some troubleshooting to narrow it down.

It's a 2004 5.4. It still has plenty of gas.

FPDM. It controls the fuel pump and is bolted to a cross member above the spare tire.

So that's what like a $100 part plus maybe $50 for the labor at a garage?

My bad, just skimmed through the post and failed to see you were talking about fuel pressure and not oil pressure

Get it from Tasca auto parts or Amazon. Do it yourself, don't pay labor. All it takes is lowering the spare tire, then unplug the electrical connector and take off the two bolts holding the FPDM to the crossmember. Attach the new part to the crossmember with the standoff bolts it comes with (so the same corrosion problem won't come back again), plug in the electrical connector, raise the spare tire (good time to check the air pressure in it) and you are done.
