Changing COPs and Injectors

I just bought a new set of Motorcraft COPs and fuel injectors on Ebay for my 05 screw. I have already changed the plugs. Is there anything else I should get while I am at it? The truck has in the neighborhood of 139k miles on it.

You should be good to go. Examine your vac lines for cracks, dry rotting, or signs of collapse. Should be fine but it never hurts to check. Be sure to lube the injector o-rings before installing so they slide in without binding and seat properly. Use a silicone dielectric grease for this.

Thanks for the advice. I still have dielectric grease from the plug change so I should be good to go on that. I can't believe I found a set of new Motorcraft injectors for $100 on ebay. Just happened to be browsing. I was the only bidder! It will be a great piece of mind to get the old ones out of there. Got the Motorcraft COPs for $190 so I think I did pretty good. Just need a heated garage to work on the truck now that winter decided to show up again.

Check. Did that last weekend when the alternator crapped out.

I bought the injector rebuild kits (2 o-rings, spacer, and pindle cap) while I was doing CoP and plugs just because I was already in there and I already had the injectors pulled. About $30 total so if its a waste you aren't losing much. I would have liked to replace the filter in the injectors but I was on a schedule and didn't have time to look beyond the local parts store.

Edit: Guess I should read better, you're replacing injectors.
