Exclamation Turbo in a f-250 5.4L 2v

Hello guys I'm new here and I have a 2001 F-250 with v8 5.4L 2v gasoline, automatic transmission, 8studs. And I would like to install a turbo kit, do you guys know if there could be any trouble with transmission or any other kind of problem with the installation?, would it be a big trouble if I do it? THANKS!

#1 an F-250 with 8 lug wheels mnust be rare, just kidding as all F-250's (minus the Lightduty ones made in late '97-'98 that had 7 lugs)

#2 a valve body is going to be a help in the transmission, fortuantly you have a 4r100 and a larger transmission cooler than the half ton trucks are equipped with in stock form but I highly suggest a valve body or a "line valve mod"

#3 be prepared to spend some cash on a turbo setup, plan on 5-10 grand easily

#4 have you considered an Eaton supercharger / check out the "lightning swap" threads all over this site and others? the only reason I'm asking is because you don't seem mechanicly inclined and just about anyone can swap out the intake manifold

haha sorry but i'm from Mexico and here is rare to see 8 studs trucks, and the eaton supercharger, well, I have a lightning but i wan't a turbo truck, the turbo kit I already have it, and installation is gonna be made by a friend of mine who lived in the USA, installing turbos in different cars, but specially honda cars, so you think there would be any prblem with the truck? i was mainly worried about transmission...

the 4r100 is a beast transmission and it'll be fine, you might want to consider using the 6.0 incterooler as it offers great cooling and bolts right in

well that's great, the intercooler you mention... is it for transmission or for the turbo?, and one more question, do you think the turbo installation will highly modify affect fuel consume? it's obvious it is going to affect, but, how much would?

- to cool the air after it leaves the turbo
