Post oil leak

I have a 1989 F150 4x4 with a 300 ci engine and a manual transmission. The truck has approximately 110,000 miles. When I parking the truck on a downhill slope, oil leaks out of the front part of the engine. I think the problem is either a bad front cover gasket or a bad oil pan gasket. Oil does not leak when parked on a uphill slope. Has anyone out there experienced this problem? Is the repair expensive?

Some of the Fords I have owned had a nasty habit of rusting out the oil pan. Thats what my guess would be on your truck. Even a full oil pan won't be full to the pan gasket. I assume you are talking about a leak that happens with the engine off.
