Engine sputter problem on 5.4

SO i went and washed my truck, and I hit the engine bay with a low pressure engine degreaser and low pressure rinse at the car wash. Never used any hihg pressure and took care to not get water on the air filter. But now when I put the engine unload load in drive, it sputters and just feels sluggish. What happened?

Got water on the cops and probably in the plug wells. Plug wells are deep with no weep holes. Use compressed air to try and dry everything out. These engines do not like water.
Cops may have to be removed, and dielectric grease applied to the boots.

Thank you, went and used the airgun to blow off the engine especially around the injectors and plugs. Took it to the highway and mashed the gas and it ran just fine. THanks again.

You lucked out - you are lucky you didn't have to get new coils.
