Weird noises when shifting in to reverse?

I got an 06 f150 5.4 triton super crew lariat with 63,000 miles on it and this past week occasionally after I have driven for a while then stop and put it in to reverse it kind of Boggs down then engine and makes funny noises but then if I shut off the truck and them restart it it runs fine. I have checked my tranny fluid it was a little low but then I topped it off and it has done it again to me. It has probably happened 5 or 6 times over the course of a week. Just wondering if anyone has an idea as to what is going on with it?
