Has anyone changed their heater core on a 98 4.6? I think mine just went out and want to know if it's worth it to have a dealer or repair place (like Pep Boys) to do it?

I believe that the whole dash has to come out. make sure who ever you have do it knows what they are doing.

 

Nitro, thanks for the reply! I put some of that rad seal and I hope it works!!!!! I doubt it though!!! It is holding right now! I will monitor it! It not, I bet it will cost about a grand for the labor and the core! Well at least I got 86k out of it!! I would have like twice as much!
