i have a 02 5.4l and while idling it start jumping and soundin like its dyin out. only does it for maybe half second then picks back up. then while driving mainly in 2nd and 4th itll almost shudder. feels like a small jolt. hard to explain.

any ideas yall on this?

 

i have a 06 5.4l and it does the same thing but mine is an automatic trans i replaced plugs and cops and mine still want to stall out at stop sign or light but not all the time its almost like a miss and no codes show up its driving me crazy

 

its time for a tune up. you might have a bad coil or 2 and if youve never changed the plugs nows a good time. Could also clean the throttle body and IAC..
2nd guy your engine isnt the same your hyjacking the op's thread and your problem is probably totally different. Sound like your having a throttle control issue try cleaning the maf and throttle body.
