Coil on Plug replacement

My 2003 5.4 Screw Fx4 (150k miles, plugs changed at 110k by professional) has been giving me some hesitation and missing jolts, and it kept getting worse, so I read this forum and figured on changing the Coils. From my Searches here I learned in very much detail that it happens most often when the trans in is OD and there is a normal fuel leaning event which requires more electricity to explode and thus a weak Coil is exposed. That was me. After pricing new Motocraft coils at 70 bucks a piece, I went with the ebay method. $70 for eight COPs. Without removing the fuel rails, 6 were pretty easy to replace. Hey, I'll play the 6 to 8 odds - this must have solved the problem - NOT. I'm 6 foot 3 and I've got two sleeping bags folded over and I'm laying across the radiator diggin and dyin. I finally got the last two (still with the fuel rails on) and the truck runs great, . We'll see how long the ebay coils last. Neck, back, belly, elbows hurt - don't you love it!

I'm 6'2" and 68 years old. I take it to the dealer or Patman.

I feel 67 today after all that. One day I'll quit this silly business of working on all my stuff.......when they haul me out in a pine box. Cheers to all.
