2005 F150 Sputtering (chugging)

Hi All,

I hope that some of you guys can help me out.

The last few months I am having an issue with my truck.
This is a 2005 F105 Lariat.

Once I hit the throttle many times it feels like the car is stuttering (chugging).
It is really noticeable between 40 and 50 mph.

Original I took it in because I thought it was the transmittion. The shop told me it was not and they recommended a spark plug change. Did this with all the known issues. (is this true that there is a recall on this?) I did not have my truck for 3 days. Still had that same issue and they told me to change the spark plug coils. Did this last evening and still have the same issue.

The interesting part is when you turn of the overdrive it gets a little better.

Any one an idea what else this could be?

Your help is greatly appriciated.

Gerrald

If it's not spark plugs or coils, it may be fuel injectors.

No, there is not a spark plug recall.

What brand plugs and coils did you use? How many miles are on the truck?
