Engine Vibration

About a month ago I was heading home from work and experienced some engine shake. I live on a plateau, getting up the hill is about a mile long. When I got to the top ant stopped at the stop light I got a violent shake from the engine, when the light turned green I accelerated only to have the problem get worse. I pulled over turned the truck off, and all was well. About a week later the same problem in the same spot occurred.

This morning which is about 3 weeks since the last problem it happened but not on the hill, but just during normal driving.
I have an Edge CTS and have not seen any codes thrown when this problem occurs. RPM’s seem to stay constant as well.

Specs:
2008 FX4 5.4l
56,000K miles
Edge CTS, custom exhaust with Magnaflow internal X-Pipe muffler. These mods have been on the truck for a long time.

So it's a 2008 ? Yea, change your info top right hand corner. Otherwise, that will confuse.

Might want to try setting it back to factory. If it quits acting up for a good stretch in time, it's the tune and you need to data log to figure it out. If you narrow it down to the tune, data log with the tune activated.

Changed my info never noticed that it was wrong thank you.

Also you are going to have to school me on what Data Log is. I am going to search it when I get off work, but if you have a Data Logs for Dummies summary it would be much appreciated.

Schooling is done over in the tuner section. I've never been schooled on that, so I don't know much about it. But, here's how you can search over there and then ask questions. The tuner forum is here -

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...rogramming-34/

Right after you click that link, follow the green bar all the way to the right and use the "Search this Forum" only option. Search "Data Logging".

That should get you started.
