Please help

Hello, the F150 of my brother has the follow diseases:
  • rough running
  • ticking noises
  • low mileage per gallone
  • blue smoke out of exhaust after start
i have ordered the cam phaser, hope, that will be the reason.
But today, my brother means, i have to do a test drive, because the truck has no power. and really, feels like missing of one or two cylinders.
Very bad performance. Is it possible, that the reason are the phasers?
thank you for help!

Even with that vague description, it sounds like a failed cam phaser. The blue smoke at startup is likely valve guide seals. Nothing to lose sleep over.

Since I have no idea how much is "so much", I can't say with certainty. But based on your short description, and the assumption that you have a 3-valve engine, it's a common failure that shares most of the symptoms you described.

But theoretically, it could be anything.

Being a 2005, are you sure that you don't have a stuck fuel injector? How many miles on the spark plugs?

the truck runs w/ gas AND LPG!
and if it runs by LPG the truck don't need the injectors

So the defective injectors they put in the 2005 model year are fixed if a guy runs LPG? I dont think so..

if the engine runs with LPG, the fuel injectors are out of order. LPG will injected via plastic tubes

MarauderV8 - Do that so it's easier to help you. Your vehicle shows up with each post without clicking extra buttons. Easier for you and us.
