Explorer swap to f 150

I have a 2000 ford explorer that has the 5.0 in it. I recently purchased a 1992 ford f 150 with the same motor. Could I cleanly swap the gt 40 heads and intake from the explorer to my f 150? If so, can I swap anything else while I'm at it?

I thought the 5.0 had been phased out by 2000? Are you sure you have a 5.0?

Haven't heard that before. But yes I'm sure it's the 5.0

Just looked it up. 96 through 01 was the 2nd generation model. So I think 01 was the last year

Parts would be swapable but somethings might be best kept like the explorers stock intake may just work better.. you would have to take a good look at it and see how things match up.

I would be inclined to swap the heads only. The intake is very different and while it may work, your PCM was optimized for the larger truck intake.

The heads was where the improvement was.
