I second that. But would like to say I think all Ford modular motors are the best on the road.

Almost all of them around around here have more then 220 000.

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble with yours. I put 135,000 on mine and it was still very strong when I sold it. Nothing but routine maintenance.

No problems with my 07 with 46,000 other than manifold gasket (was leaking), ticking that dealer wont fix (probably cam phasers), and torque converter replaced (warranty not engine)

Nothing major on the engine id say

Its obvious nu-supercrew, some of the boys haven't changed spark plugs yet or cracked manifolds. Now on my Dodge cummings with 450,000 thats running just fine..........

2v's yes. 3v's absolutely not. The 5.4 3v is one of the most frequently changed motors out there. The truth hurts but comparing JUST he motors. The 5.7 dodge and gm's ls engines are a lot more reliable.

I don't have a 3v so I can't comment personally. Just a 2v non pi 4.6 98.

What are the problems- I know the spark plugs but anything else??? I am asking just for general knowledge and the fact that one of my friends is currently shopping for an 04-08 with the 4.6-5.4 in it. I am not debating you, just curious cause Automotive is my hobby and I could help a friend too.
