35s with 3.72 gears and 5.4

Ive been searching around the forum and couldn't find a definite answer to my question, so i thought i would start my own thread.

If i got my truck lifted (04 f150 crew 4x4) would i need to regear? and what kind of gas mileage would i be looking at without a tune? if i do regear most people seem to recomend 4.56. Do i need to regear with the lift? im not doing much towing and when i do it is usually pulling the boat up a gravel boat ramp in 4low. I really only do city driving during the week and the roads are not very steep. What would be my gas mileage (i dont race or have a heavy foot) with the stock 3.73 gears and what would it be with 4.56 if i were to regear?

Thanks, and im sorry if this has been posted before. I just could not find gas mileages without a tune.

Mine with a tune and 3.73 is horrible in town around 9-10 and highway about 14-15 (in and out of OD constantly). Couple friends and I are going to put my 4.56s in within the next few weeks. Main reason for doing the re-gear is I do about 70% city and am starting to tow more. Plus I got the gears dirt cheap. Is it necessary no, but after 2 years of fighting it on the road its time.

I have a 2006 4x4 5.4 with 35x12.50s and 4.56 gears. My city mileage is 16-17 and my interstate is about 15 with the cruise set on 70mph. The 4.56s are great for city, effortless acceleration. The rpms are high on the interstate so the mpg drops some. I have a gryphon cs with custom tunes, so maybe take off 1 mpg if you don't have tunes? Since you drive a lot in the city, I think you would be very happy with 4.56s

From what I know about 700 for each. Can't speak from personal experience because I found mine for 360 shipped with install kits. Was quoted 860 for install but that was based on computer estimates and thought it would be cheaper.

Around $1500 for the whole job including all the parts seems like it's about the average good price. Anything over $2000 is a ripoff. I paid a little under $1600 for mine
