My 99 5.4 took a **** on me this past week so I'm in need of a replacement motor.I dont really know whats compatible with it. Such as f250 5.4's, navigator engine's, E-van motors, etc. Or am I basically good as long as its a sohc5.4? Thanks guys

What do you mean by took a poop on you?
You would want any 2v 5.4L that is a PI engine. In the trucks they were 99 and up. Vans and F250's I'm not sure when or what year they went to a PI head. They are all compatible with the possible swapping of some miscellaneous parts. I would suggest you keep your 99 intake manifold since it is aluminum. It was the only year of a PI 2v 5.4L and aluminum intake. After 99 they went to a composite and some of them had issues with leaking.

PI is a performance improved heads which added about 25hp vs the non PI

They are getting harder to find used with low miles but with some patients you should be able to find one with under 75k miles for around 1200

You can use one from a F250, but make sure its from a 2001 and up. The 1999-2000 F250 had non P.I. heads. If you get one from a F250, you'd have to use your intake and exhaust manifolds, as well as your belt driven stuff.
