Question Whistling sound w/ Poweraid TBI Spacer

I just installed the Poweraid TBI spacer on my 2000 5.4 and there is a whistling sound that is very noticable at mid-range RPM's with slight / moderate throttle position. Is this normal?

I also receintly installed the K&N FIPK. A great product that definately improves throttle response with no noticable down side except it is a bit noiser. (Kinda cool though)

If anyone has exerience with the TBI spacer please advise. Thanks!

Hi jlo604

That noise is normal. It`s caused by the spiral design on the inside of the spacer. A buddy of mine has one on his truck and it does the same thing.

Hope this helps.

Larry.

That and the fact that it doesn't do anything else is why 95% of of the people on this board return them or use them as a paper wieght.

By the way, I have the Airaid FIPK (no TB Spacer) and when it's really hot outside, once mine gets warmed up it "whines" or you could call it a "whistle" at idle. It's coming through the FIPK so you can hear it just sounds louder. Some others have posted about it too, but I'm curious how many peoples trucks to this.
