4.6l romeo engine help
i hope i have placed this in the right forum. i have a 2001 f-150 4.6l romeo triton wanted to know if i could get any 4.6l romeo example a crown vic, what if any wouldneed to be done to make this work. the reason i am asking is crown vic motors are 700 and f150 motors are 1400 i am not 100% sure yet if i need a whole motor i am hoping i just need a head plug blew out and part broke off in cyl oil and water is mixed and ther is oil in bore. any help would be wonderful.
Use a timesert in the old head and you'll be just fine. If a part broke off and scored a cylinder or piston or damaged a ring than a rebuild will cost as much as new @ $1400. As for the engines they are pretty much the same. Intake is different so just re-use your old one along with the throttle body. Swap shoud be pretty straight forward. Im sure someone will chime in and be of more help.
