ignition coils keep showing faulty

My problem is after tuneup #5 ignition coil showed bad & was replaced. all was fine till after hitting the road on the way home I developed another miss. upon checking it showed #8 had went bad. this to was replaced. after two days it has started again. no power when excellarating & bucking coming up to speed. check engine soon light is now on. I cant see how ignition coils are just going bad. Have been told that cam fazer or DPSE could be bad causing this. Any help will be great.

I swear, I have had past vehicles start breaking down after I put money and time into them, as if they know you have money to spend on them, lol. My favorite is when they break down at the mechanics shop. I would check the codes to see where the problems are and you can always swap them around to see if the problem moves as well. I do not think your engine has phasers, but I am a newbie here. When I tuned my truck, I replaced all the boots and springs for about $50.00 and rebuilt the old COPS with lots of dielectric grease. No issues since.

I would suspect a leak in the heater core lines that run above #5. That will kill that coil over and over until you fix the hose..

What's the DTC code this time?

VERY frequently, when one coil goes bad, the rest of them aren't far behind. Were they all properly reinstalled, with proper application of dielectric grease, when the plugs were changed?
