Seafoam causing problems???

I recently put Seafoam in my truck for the second time this year...It was running sluggish on takeoff and going up the slightest hill, so I Seafoamed it...Well both times I did that, a plug would blow out...I ended up having #3 heli coiled and the mechanic done a great job...Didn't think Seafoam would do that, so I figured it was something else...Second time around, Im starting to think Seafoam is a bad choice. Even though it fixed the sluggishness of my truck, it also blew another plug! This time #4....Has anyone heard of Seafoam doing that? Another thing is that my EGR Valve needs changed...Thats the only code popping up....and last but not least, my brother told me that one of my cats is clogging up, and would cause that pressure to blow a plug...Is that also true?

Thanks for the help guys...

Seafoam can clog your cats. I would never use the stuff. A lot of peple have trouble with the Helicoils as a permanent fix. They tend to blow out again. A better choice is Timesert. It's a different design that keeps it from coming out.

Better check the rest of the plugs - use a torque wrench, 28 ft/lb.

Don't pour ANYTHING down the intake - Seafoam or anything else. Put Techron in the gas and/or take it to a shop for a BG or Motorvac job.
