Rough starts.....HELP!

I've read several threads, some similar problems but not really the same problem as I'm having. I have a 2005 5.4 with around 70,000 miles, yesterday morning it cranked fine, but going down the road at 50-60mph it had an occasional studder, a lapse in power for a few seconds then would level out. It kept doing this every few minutes thru the trip. At stop signs it almost seemed as it was going to choke down. After i shut it off, it turned over and over and over trying to restart. After driving a few trips around town, the studder during driving quit but it still takes a while of turning over before it starts. This morning it did the same when starting but ran fine going down the road. I have recently cleaned the MAF. Anybody have a clue what it may be????? I was thinking fuel related issue, I always fill up at half a tank. I had approx 200 miles on the current tank of fuel when the problem started.

When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

At 70k, I'd bite the bullet and change the spark plugs.

Hopefully, you aren't having this issue:

Thinking about a spark plug change soon, haven't changed the fuel filter yet, hopefully this afternoon. Went out and cranked it a few minutes ago 3 times, cranked fine everytime. Imagine that!
