Pretty much just want the title says..cranks but no start..i noticed no familiar hum when turning the key to the on position..i pounded on the tank with light strength with a rubber mallet and she fired right up...gotta be the fuel pump right??

Could be, could also be a loose wire somewhere.

 

That is typical with a bad pump
