My '99 4.2L, and my '01 4.6L both had a VERY WEAK start up about 3-5 or more times. It just barely turns over and I haven't found a pattern, though it's worse after I kill it with the clutch or if I shut it off then restart right away. I now, every morning, let the fuel pump "gear up" before I try to start it. Do these trucks just have weak starters or what?
