Air Cuts Out

I have a 2001 150 5.4L screw 2wd. I have no engine mods besides CAI and Edge and with or without the edge when I am increasing my speed mainly in the 70-80mph or even when I go to get on the interstate when I put the engine under some stress and the rpms go over 2k the A/C cuts out from the vents and sounds loud and almost acts like it goes into defrost. Why would this be. Also only other question I had is I hear a clang sound almost like metal hitting metal like a rattling sound from the front end/under the vehicle when I hit a bump in the road or go over rough roads I hear it.

Thanks

The A/C problem is probably a leaky vacuum line - look behind the battery.
