Lisle Tool Broke

I was changing the plugs in an 05 Expy, 99000 miles, for a co worker. This is my 8th set I have done. No's 1,2,3 broke. While using the pusher the threads on the interior tube came out. Anyone else ever have this issue with the Lisle tool? Trying to figure out how to avoid this issue again. I had to drive an hour each way to parts store that had the tool in stock in order to finish the job.

Don't have an answer for that one..Only thing I would do on the new one is to keep all of the parts clean and lubed after being used. Nobody has posted about breaking one that I have seen, I will say though, this sounds like my kind of luck.

I always kept all the threads clean and lubed with Break Free Gun Oil. After getting new tool broke all the rest of the plugs 8 for 8. All came out flawlessly with (2) Lisle Tools

Could of been a hairline flaw in the original tool from the getgo. You know the saying: s**t happens! Glad you got them out anyway.
