Those are the improved double platinum 2 piece plugs. Coat ONLY the shank with nickel antiseize, not the tip or the threads, and torque them to 25 ft/lb.

Run them out like a tap

Take your time and twist them out like you would running a tap into a hole.
1/16 turn out, 1/32 turn in, 1/16 turn out, 1/32 turn in. Go slow and "feel" your way.

The results are in! After 554,990 miles and 2 hours, yes 2 hours, all 8 plugs have been changed with out a single one breaking. I wouldve been embarrassed to pay a dealership the kinda money they want to do this job. Thanks again to the members of f150online.com for all yalls help!

I sure anticipated a long stressful day to say the least. But my buddy is a certified mechanic so he knew his way around an engine (a fellow ford fan himself, buts he's got a powerstroke) it was very stressful but if you have any knownledge on how to operate a ratchet with extensions and a torque wrench then you can do this no problem. I dreaded doing it but I acuatlly enjoyed doing this job.
One thing is after inspecting the plugs I noticed that they didn't have alot of carbon build up. So maybe it's had a plug change before? Maybe one of y'all can tell when I upload pictures. The plugs look exactly the same as the new ones to me

I think you really did yourself a favor with the 3 bottles of Techron and runn'in it hard. I wonder if anyone else has done anything similar (actually SAME) and still had trouble getting the plugs out whole. I decided some time ago that that would be the way I would go. I am a HUGE fan of Techron. After one tank with CONCENTRATED Techron, i've used a borescope and am amazed at how much carbon has been removed to BARE aluminum on the top of the piston.

The old plugs markings are: Motorcraft Platinum PZT 2FE 4C
Yes that techron can work magic. I ran 3 bottle for pretty much "insurance" purpose. Better to be safe than sorry

May or may not be original - PZT2F was in fact the factory plug.
