Post engin oil

I have a 95 f150 and I usually run 10w-30 oil in it. I was thinking about running straigh 30 waight in it. Dose any one know if it would make a differance or not?

I can tell you from experience, whatever the sticker under the hood recommends for your particular engine, thats what you should continue to put in it.

I started using 10W30 even though the manual calls for 5W30. It quieted the knock and it seems like the engine runs smoother. As far as going with the single weight - I wouldn't. The 10 of the 10W30 is there to get the oil flowing quickly during startup (at least that is my understanding - I am no expert in this area). This quickness is definately a good thing.

Whatever you decide - good luck!
