spark plug blow outs ?

Im just curious has anyone ever thought of putting lock tight on the spark plugs? Wouldnt that hold em in place really good. I know 28 ft lbs dry is what your suppose to do and i torqued mine really well. All is well i was just curious if lock tight would work.

You dont need lock tite on the plug threads...I torque 28ft/lbs and haven't had any plugs blow out in over 300k miles... 01 5.4....

I know very little about lock tight but would it possibly make it difficult to remove the plugs without taking threads with them? The aluminum heads would make me nervous.

I would imagine the heat would turn that locktite into a weld.. any attempt to remove them afterward would probably take the threads with it.

PLEASE DON'T use loctite, and if anyone tries it, they are doing it at thier own risk/stupidity

Proper torque is all you need on these 2 valve motors

Why do the plugs blow out in the first place, my truck has 62,000 miles on it.

Not enough threads. I think there are only 4 threads.

Not enough threads and low factory torque.

Which engine is in your 05? The 4.6 has 8 threads and doesn't have a problem, the 5.4 has the 2 piece plugs that stick and break.
