Unhappy ANOTHER starting PROBLEM!!!!

Went to start my truck today and it cranked 1 or 2 times then stopped. It will start with my remote starter though. The heating/cooling system won't even blow when I turn the key to run like it did b4 the problem. The heating/cooling system should also come on when I start it with the remote starter like it should. I installed the gauges last night and a couple of the wires got pulles out of the terminals I put them in when I put the gauges in. They shorted I know that caused the problem. I fixed the wiring and replaced all the fuses that I could find blown. The only one that blew was a 5 amp fuse. If anybody might know what the problem is, please let me know.

Found the problem. The 50 amp fuse I blew. It is about 1 inch wide and 1½ inches tall. I know it isn't a great pic but what do you expect from a webcam? It was in the power distribution box under the hood on the drivers side.
