Help Identify Vac. Line! (try again.)
Sorry for the repeat. I tried to add another pic to my origianl thread and then...poof all pic links are broken and can not be mended...so lets try again.
Hey guys. 06 5.4 3v for starters....I left the house about 2 weeks ago, and got a block down the road when the truck sputtered terribly and shut off. Finally I got it started back up and limped home. I found a broken plastic coupling in the vacuum line and replaced it with a brass barb coupling. After a test ride proved it wasnt the only issue I looked more and found a small ( maybe 1/8"od) vacuum line with a hole. I cut it out and put a coupling in it. well.....it broke again and im not going to rig it up any more.
Help me identify what the heck this goes to so I can get a replacement. THANKS!
Here you can see the original fix from the first time and next to it the new blow out...

It attaches to the fire wall here and also exits through..around..the passenger side fender.

Here is an overall pic of where this is all located behind the battery.

hey thanks for the reply. i just had a GREAT experience at the dealership. Koons Ford Annapolis. i went to the parts dept to see a diagram and possibly purchase a new hose. in line waiting for parts for the service dept was a ford tech who came out and looked at my truck for me. he identified it as part of the 4x4 system, and specifically the line the goes to the vacuum canister. he ran inside, grabbed a piece of hose and fixed it for me...i asked how much they wanted for the hose and he just sent me on my way with a thanks as payment.
awesome of him to do that.
