The gas company dosent really mean anything, because there are only a few refineries in the country.... its very likely that all the gas in your area (regardless of brand) is being produced at 2 or 3 refineries.

That said, there can be a difference in gas at different stations... some may have bad tanks and/or pumps that allow water and other impurities to leak into the gas... my advice is to find a newer station that is less likely to have old and worn out fuel storage and delivery systems...

Thumbs up

I always use Chevron whenever possible, and I always get my gas from the exact same pump whenever possible. Like jrm1493 said, most of the gas is the same anyway, if you have 20 stations in town, then I bet at the most you have four different gas companies, no matter what the trucks say. I know that here, the BP, the Chevron, the Coastal, and the Appco all fill trucks at the same refinery in Knoxville, TN, and they just sell under brand names. Citgo is the only station around here that I know that uses a different refinery, and it is better gas, but it costs more, and I have to drive a little farther to get it. Chevron has always worked for me, though. At least the name Chevron has.

Hey remailer.
I like this Phillips66 that is by me,truck runs great after I get gas from there.
On the other hand, the Chevron by me is a VERY old station, and the truck ran pretty bad on their gas. It all depends on the area your in. A new Citgo just opened up across from the Chevron,so I imagine the Chev. will die like it should. Your best bet is to try several diferent stations, until you find the best gas,,,,,,98

Stay away from the hot dogs at any station, you'll leave with gas that no one wants
