F-150 sounds like a helicoptor

Today I got in my truck and started driving and it ran fine. I got back in my truck couple hours later to go home and the truck ran like @#$%. Brief history had misfires on couple different cylinders replaced all plugs cops and pcv valve but it had messed up my cats so I replaced those with magnaflow 94106's. I was driving home and I have cat back duals on there it sounded like pure crap. If i pressed the pedal more than about half a inch it started hesitating and bucking and hard to speed up past 50 mph at times id press gas pedal to floor to keep from getting ran over on highway rpms shot up to 4grand and bucked and backfired and then seemed to level out like it just got gas took it to autozone to see what codes were since check engine light came on and they said codes were random misfire as well as running too lean...I then drove home and figured id get on here and get you experts to advise me what you think it is or what to do... I have a driveway with a steep hill to get up I tried to get up and made it half way truck had absolutely no power i made a couple attempts pedal to the floor and literally my friend walked up the driveway faster than i could with the pedal to the floor. We had to take my tractor and pull it up the hill. When idles it lopes like gonna cut off then comes back up to around 1300 rpm and runs and has a seriously strong gas smell coming from exhaust has anyone ever experienced this before or any suggestions? Would a TPS or MAF sensor cause this?

what are the exact codes? might be a massive vacuum leak.. the lean code would be an indication of that..

I lost the paper with exact codes I will get them again tomorrow and post them. I have 225k miles on the truck and I know its old and alot of miles but I mean all this at once is a PAIN IN THE HIND PARTS.... lol I just built a new house and can't afford to be nickle and dimed to death each month. I hope its something simple.

check for vacuum leaks. Check the PCV system all the way to the elbow at the back of the throttle body..

I will do that tomorrow as well. I am thinking of letting dealer put it on machine to pin point exactly whats wrong or should the codes from autozone tell you exactly or just give an idea of whats wrong?

Then go from there.

it may just be the coil goin bad. usually is if its buckin and missfiring really bad. but if you havent changed the plugs in a while id change the plug to.

Just a thought, Is the PCV still in where it goes?

I would be inclined to go with the major vac leak too. If you have a misfire called for a specific cylinder then check that too.
