2007 4.6 2Valve motor with mustang head and cam swap?

hey guys i got a 07 4.6 2 valve motor in my F150 and just now starting to dig into it a little. i been in the Mustang world for many years. so was woundering if anyone has done a mustang head and cam swap on thease truck to get more power out of them. im assumeing this question has been asked but due to lack of features on my ****y cell phone the serch button makes my phone shut off.

they are the exact same heads and cames on 99-04 GT's and the same as the 99-03 f150 5.4. 01-08 f150 4.6. all e series vans with v8's 01-present. 01+ crown vics, grand marquis's, and town cars.

Only difference is the intake manifold, but that's for a good reason. The truck 4.6 gets more torque than the car 4.6. Swapping 3 valve heads would be interesting though.

If your thinking about swapping heads you might as well look at performance ones or look at places that can modify yours for you.....

you can't swap 3v heads on a 2v or 4v short block.

well if the heads on my truck are the mustang P.I. heads ill have to start looking into some ported Trick Flow heads and custom cams. So that brings me to my next question. if the heads are the same as the mustang that means all mounting points are the same as well. so whats keeping me from bolting on a Kenne Bell blower on this thing? front assocries im sure are diff but if i swap them over to the mustang style i should be abel to route the blower belt to it. any oppinions?

if all else fails i have a 550HP/700TQ turbo built 5.0 motor with built C4 trans i can drop in it! lol

I dont want to steal this thread, but it is closer to a question I have posted on other forums that werent giving me much feedback.

I have the stock 2V 4.6 in my 2003 F150 4x4. I started looking at Trickflow heads for added performance (mostly street use, no off roading).

I am concerned about the stock F150 intake manifold and inlet elbow being a match for the heads. Will the Trickflow heads with mild cam be starved for air with the stock F150 setup?

While I'm at it, I might as well ask, has anyone adapted the C&L or AccuFab Mustang inlet/plenum elbows to their F150?

Thanks,
John L.
