How do you think the engine sounds? Vid inside

I want to buy this truck so I took a video for you guys to tell how you think the engine sounds. Everything on the truck is in spectacular condition, but I don't know too much about engines and was wondering if you could give your opinion on how it sounds. The engine has 70,xxx miles on it...

The Cam Phasers are noisy, that's for sure.

Any codes? How does it sound when you drive it? I'd bet it sounds normal.

Well, the camera really sucks so it doesn't do too much justice. It does sound normal when you drive. When it's on idle it sounds like a diesel truck, but just very very slightly (little ticking noise but very faint). Are cam phasers easy to replace?

If its just noisy I wouldn't bother. They are noisy. Fuel injectors are noisy too.

Oh, yeah and there are no codes hmm, thanks for the insight! So they all are a bit noisy huh. That is what I've been noticing from the last couple f150s I've turned on, they all sound kinda noisy like this.

I wouldn't purchase it unless it's worth putting an engine in. I mean price wise, but that's just me. Specially with a problem that's so pronounce.

Idunoo, - sounds like it's seen to many Fram filters.

70,000 miles....that truck should be good to go...my 05fx4 has 146,000 miles on it...still runs great...you find the truck on a car lot or is it from a private seller?...see if you can find some history of the maintenance done to it...I wouldn't worry much about the cam phasers...my 05 is noisy at a idle to...

It's a little dealer here in Miami, FL. That makes me feel a little better! I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it from them on Friday and finally be part of the F150 SUPER-CREW, haha. Yeah, I've notice that every one that I turn on sound about the same.

I found someone selling an engine on craigslist for $1500 with 50k miles, I might try and bargain with him so I can have a spare engine... idk, we will see

i wouldnt buy that thing if it was making that kind of racket . Maybe look into the 03 models where you dont have to worry bout phasers... Mine has 125k and sounds 20x better than that truck does.

Mine has 75k right now and isn't even half as loud as that, though it has gotten louder since I purchased it. Good luck still a nice truck though.
