ticking time bomb.

k so my truck has been giving me problems for a while now. last night i was driving home cel was flashing and truck had no power at all had to put it in 1st gear for power to drive. it is chugging really bad. ticking so loud and fast.the ticking is unbelievably loud. blowing blue smoke, and ontop of the ticking it sounds like pieces are rattling around in my engine. smells like gas, rough idle. i need some serious help i need my truck for work and dont have the money for a mechanic to figure this out any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why did you start a new thread? You seem to be ignoring all the advice you got in your original thread. If you don't know what you are doing and can't afford to take it to a shop I guess you won't be driving your truck! It sounds like you kept driving it with a bunch of problems without addressing them and now you may be looking at an engine replacement.

No you dont need a new motor. Go to autozone or advance auto and have them pull the codes. Don't clear the code, it makes it hard to diagnosis further problems. CEL will go out when the problem is fixed.

Get the code and come on here and search. Don't let any of the idiots at parts store sell you anything. They are guessing out of their asses to make money.

Search for his other thread - you are missing a lot of background info.
