My Expy is at 162k. I just needed a trans rebuild but the motor is strong. Just put new plugs in her and purring great.

I agree that the body could hold up better...actually just the doors have been my problem. The rest looks great.

I did just pick up 2 great doors from someone for $60! What a steal on that. I just need 2 more and then off to the body shop for some paint and she'll look like new. Hint hint...if anyone has a pass front door and a driver side rear door they want to part with cheap let me know!!!! LOL!

 

my 2002 has 176xxx on it and i dont know how many previous owners. its also a 7700 edition. only things replaced so far are the lower ball joints, idler and pitman arms, spark plugs, battery, and 1 fuel injector.

only replairs i had to do was the lubrication on the door latches to fix the door ajar being on all the time and solder the contact behind the cluster that would cause the display to go out. works perfect.

 

I took what Ford built and made it better. 99 Supercab with over 190,000 miles.
Runs perfect. Fantastic mpg, and 0-60 under 8 seconds. Just had her re-painted. Now to replace the chrome

I have an 04 with 5.4 3v...I change oil every 3,000 or less.Plus other fluids. Truck looks brand new it has 74,000 on it. About a month ago I started hearing a tapping sound.
Took to dealer. Turns out it had bad rockers. one, #3 was sezied! They had to replace cam and valve lash adjusters..etc. Cost $3740..Thank god I had extended warranty.
When I talked to mechanic, he said the engine was clean as a new engine. No sludge..
So what the hell happened???

 

What were you using for oil and oil filter?

 

I just bought a 01 Expedition 5.4 with 207,756. Water in the oil, blown headgasket.
I'm also looking for another Motor if anyone has one.
