Where is the oil pressure sensor?

I looked in my manual but it only has a drawing and I don't recognize any of the stuff in there. I have an oil pressure gauge on the way and I'm assuming that is where it will hook up so I want to find it before I go to install the gauge.

The oil pressure switch is located on the oil filter adapter housing in front of the filter. The wires for it are the ones that are always geeting in your way when you're removing the filter. Mine went bad so I had to replace it.

I have a 2000 with a 4.6 2WD. Mine must be a little differen't. But about 99% of the time the switch is located right by the filter. May me differen't if you have a relocation kit.

Your oil filter is probly relocated to the front of the truck. Follow the oil lines back & you will see where it originaly was. The oil sending unit is on the filter housing.
I installed a 'real' Oil pressure guage also. I ran a copper lines from the new sending unit to the guage in the truck.
There will be 1 wire on the old sending switch. Just ground it & the old guage in the truck will rerad normal..

Found it. Just got to figure out how to get it off now. If any body that has the 4.6 and 4x4 let me know how you got it off and what tools you used. I have all the wiring done. Just need to get the sensor off now. Please let me know the size wrench or whatever I need also.
