My 98 f-150 4.6 V8 only has 25k miles on it but now it starts fine and runs great and out of the blue will just crank, replaced the battery and ignition switch and it did not help, any thoughts what might cause that?

Have you ever changed the fuel filter?

 

only has 25K on a 98 man thats low. Does the truck sit alot could be bad gas. Have you tried cleaning the MAF check the spark plugs is it throwing any codes?

 

I have never changed the fuel filter, and no codes should I change the filter?

No - a 13 year old fuel filter is still just like new.........

OF COURSE you should change it!
