4.6 Engine Swap

Currently doing an engine swap on a 2001 F-150 4x4 right now.... Number eight cyclinder piston was all busted up including rod and main bearing... bought it this way through an auction... Found a motor for 900.00 from a 2002 mercury grand marcuis.. 57,000 miles good condition...(for anyone looking for 4.6l car motors are cheaper!)...So swap involved switching parts off the old motor including vavle covers, oil pan,oil pickup tube, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, oil filter and lower radiatior hook up,front cover, damper pulley and all accessories due to the belt on the truck motors being wider also thermosat which is part on intake.. raditor hoses are bigger on truck... while motor was out i changed spark plus and cleaned it up good.. i would say i am 60% done

Sounds like your covering everything. Nice find on the engine and welcome to the forums. Any pics?
