Hey what's up guys I just got a 1990 e350 truck with a big box on the back its a dually with a 7.5 l motor it started like twice but I'm going to cut of the entire cab and convert it to a trailer for all my toys so what should I do with the motor scrap it or keep it? Can I use it for anything like a project t or is it only heavy duty oh yeah its gas not diesel plz HP thanks guys

 

That motor will get about 8MPG in anything you put it in. there not very fast motors but can be made to go fast. there more of the work horse motors the 429 was made to go fast. but you can find plenty of go fast parts for a 460.

would be good in an off road recovery truck or a mudder. or a tow truck. those 460's make max TQ at 2,100RPM lol.

 

Ok sooo most likely ill scrap it then since I'm more of a pre runner guy unless anyone is interested

 

If the motor runs and runs half way descent it could be worth some money. Put it in the classifieds and see what happens. Got a buddy who builds these things they can really lay the rubber down if ya want em to. But yeah 8mpg is probably a little optimistic.

 

It runs pretty good actually just got no need for It unless i can throw It in a drift car and how much would this thing go for

 

If it runs, try and sell it. My parents have a 460 in their 92 250. They get about 12mpg all the time. Empty and towing their trailer. The 460 has gobs of torque
