Exclamation Iac?

I know alot of people have mentioned the rough idle being caused by an IAC. I have had problems finding one on the internet. Is this only something Ford will sell or am I just looking in all the wrong places. I have the 4.6 2V in my truck and it rough idles in park and sometimes when stopped in drive. I have read numerous threads and never see where i can find one. Any help is appreciated. I have already had my PCM flashed and cleaned the throttle body.

What year is your truck. Most of the time, if done properly you can clean the IAC (idle air control)...... most of the time. But places like autozone sell them. What year and mileage? Maintenance history? It only has a rough idle? no other issues while driving? Most of the time a dirty or faulty IAC with cause intermittent starting issues.

I got my IAC from Autozone... i think it was like $55.00... installed it in the parking lot in like 10 minutes... but you need to make sure that is the problem first.

It is a 2008 with 51,000 miles. It only has a rough idle, no other symptoms. However, I know it is more than just the normal shake these 4.6's have because I drive a patrol car with the same engine basically and a friend of mine has the same one in his '04 F150.

I hadn't called any stores. I was just internet shopping. I figured if it was in a store it would be on the internet. Does anyone have any other ideas of what it could be?

There are no codes coming up, they flashed the PCM, they checked the coils and plugs. Nothing. If there is no IAC or it is part of the electronic throttle body then I would have to replace it I guess. Other post have said things such as O2 sensors and catalytic converters. I don't notice a power loss like what would be caused by the catalytic converter and no codes show up for an O2 sensor to be out, right?
