lightning serpintine belt

lightning serpintine belt

Anybody ever change the inner belt on a late lightning? The outter is easy the inner looks hard and I don't want to remove something I don't need to remove......help

ive never changed mine i thought about it when i had the motor tore apart now that i look back i should have it looks like a pain but i would imagine just take the blower belt off and you might be able to get the inner belt on and off you might need to be able to get underneath too i dunno id go check but mines in storage

I would think the only thing to come off might be the pulley bridge. But you might be able to get the belt behind it. Not sure. I would have to look at it.

The inner belt can be changed without removing any components. You do have to remove the outer ( blower dedicated belt) to do so.

remove the bolts on the side of the stock supercharger lower pulley so you can get the belts around the "cage" and you'll be fine, I can change the "inner" belt without removing the supercharger tensioner bridge
