plz help need info on engine swap
hi all i have a 1998 ford expediton that i am going to swap engines on,the engine in it is a 4.6 vin w was wondering if i will be able to sap out all my external components like intake,timing cover valve covers all externals with my 2002 4.6 vin w long block out of my 2002 mountaineer and install it back into my expedition or will i run into issues with the intake and timing cover cause i looked up gaskets for the intake and timing cover on both engines and they r different part numbers plz help thanx

guess I have to post in this one since you broke the rules and the other one got deleted...
anyway what you have is a NPI motor what you are trying to swap in is a PI motor, use your intake manifold with the NPI-PI adapters from HPS, use your timing cover and the acessories and get a tune from a reputable tuner and you'll be fine
