Question 2005 5.4 Spark plug question.

Had mine changed Thursday...truck ran great thursday and friday. This morning my remote start wouldnt start my truck...It only cranks for a few seconds. Went out in the cold to try to start it, it took like 5-6 trys befor it finally started. Usually when it first starts it revs really high for about 10-15 seconds the idles gently...this time after it finally started, it just kind of limped into the low idle, and I could smell gasoline (strong) any idea whats up with this?

Loose spark plug?
On a side note, I have a 00 Explorer that I just aquired and have been doing the majority of my driving with. It starts WAY faster than the F150 does. So when I get back into my truck, a lot of times I dont crank it long enough on the first try. Then on the second try I crank a normal amount and it doesnt want to start still, and then on the third try I crank long enough you would think you are damaging the starter (not literally), but then it starts and smells of gas for a bit. And starts off real slow like a limp.

I would keep an eye out for a engine light it sounds and smells just like when I had an injector stuck open ...hard to start and gas smell.
There should be a factory warranty until 120000 miles.

Good luck
