Alright well i did as the book said and tested the ohms and they checked out at 11.49...But as i was doing that i used the valve cover to support myself and well, 12v constant shock so could this be my problem? Bad ground and were could it be from? Possibly shorting something out? Also, brand new battery was dead after 3 days.

I'm tellin yuh, swap them, see if the miss moves to #2 or stays at #3. Bench testing by the book doesn't do much for yuh. It will tell you if the packs totally dead, but you don't have that problem.

BTW- Be careful, don't smoke the coil if it's good lol. I don't know what exactly you mean by 12 volts to the valve cover lol. Yea, just swap them and you'll know real quick. You don't have the equipment to load test/stress test your coil.

Ah that was stupidity is what that was LOL it was the battery charger i had on it for some reason grounding itself on the body which it didn't used to (Wal-mart special) so beware. Anyways the problem is gone and i have NO IDEA what the hell i did, if at all.

Well last winter at its cold peak, it was doing this same exact thing. For a moment i got a Throttle Position Sensor Malfunction code, then it went away and never seen it again. SO, I replaced the TPS and the problem disappeared.

So the first thing i did since its such an easy task and i still had the receipt from 8 months ago, brought it back and got the upgrade version, installed it took it for a 5 min test drive, same thing. At that point i was frustrated as we all get, maybe me more then others lol, so i let it sit. Swapped the coil packs today like Jbrew told me to, drove it for 55 miles, and nothing! Runs perfect. I can always tell amongst the sound of the exhaust being that its loud, if there is something wrong and right when i fired it up for the first time today i knew it had gone away.

So what maybe happened? Didn't give the TPS enough time to communicate with the ecu to correct/program itself? Frozen fuel injectors? I am at a total loss here, just hope it doesn't keep happening.

That's to funny

Just wrap an rubber bandanna around your noggin and wear those old pair of steel toe boots, -the ones with toes scuffed down to the metal. You'll be alright Frod, - honest.... Might wanna freshen up first, then get right on it after a shower, like ASAP. Your more protected with your hair a little wet..

Let us know what DTC's flash before your eye's. If you have feeling in your hands, write your dilating trouble codes down.

Wait a minute, it's fixed ? That wasn't suppose to fix it, -it was to tell you what wasn't the problem.

Well, if it's the coil, the problem will reappear most likely. With misfires, they tend to run a little better right after you reset into learn mode. Once taught, it may slowly start to miss again. Usually doesn't take that long.

Maybe you just had a bad connection somewhere, - if she's still running good.

I know it wasn't supposed to but i swapped them, then drove around for over an hour trying to see if it throws a misfire on #2 and it ran great...im at about 250 miles now since i swapped them and still nothing, runs smooth lol who knows. But if it starts to happen again it should be on #2.
