Fuel pump?

Ok y'all so my truck has been running badly and has even been blowing ignition fuses when I have it at WOT. I took it in and the shop told me they thought it was the fuel pump driver module. People on here tell me that oxidation could damage the module so I took off my spare and checked it out and the module looks fine with no cracks so I don't believe this is the problem. Now yesterday when I went to start my truck it kinda had a rough start then about 5 seconds later it died and will not start! I'm thinking it's the fuel pump. When I turn the key on sometimes I hear the pump and other times I hear nothing. I've checked fuel pump relays and fuses and they are good. I've also checked the button by the fuses that is the emergency fuel pump shutoff for when you get in a crash. My question is does this sound like I need a new pump? If so where should I order one for the best price? All the details about my truck are in my sig but if I forgot anything just let me know. I appreciate all help! I just want to get my baby up and running again!

thanks again
Luke

Well I just ordered a fuel pump! Hope it wasn't the module though. I'm pretty sure it's
Not the module because it looks fine. Any pointers on removing fuel tank and installing new pump would b appreciated

Your just throwing parts at it? Did you check fuel pressure, troubleshoot the module before hand, other than just looking at it lol.

You might get lucky, it's allot of work, time and expense if you don't.

A simple Haynes or Chiltons manual is a good investment for basic trouble shooting and procedures, - can even be priceless for some.

I'd much rather change out a FPDM than a fuel pump............

Before you believe that it just needs a fuel pump spray some carb cleaner into the air intake at the throttle plates. If it needs a fuel pump or some part related to fuel delivery the car will start and so you must know how to replace a fuel pump
