wont turn over

I have a 1997 f150 4.6 engine had a bad piston so i just recently got done replacing the motor. Everything is back in the truck went to turn the key nothing happens. Battery is good starter is good all the conections are good. Its not even getting power to the starter. Would this have anthing to do with the battery being unhooked so long?

Do you have headlights and all other electrical functions? Does it make any sound at all when you turn the key? Fuel pump kicking on? I would still go over all the connections, especially at the main harness and fire wall area.

Are you getting the "click" of the starter solenoid? If not, check that.

You posted while I was typing. Check the solenoid if no clicky.
