Question 2006 4.6 to 5.4 help

I know there are a lot of discussions about the famous 4.6 to 5.4 swap. I see a lot of 1996 - 2001 swaps but what about the 2006? Can anyone lead me in the right direction for a 2006 swap? What year 5.4 is the best choice for the swap? It's a 2006 F150 4.6l xlt 4x4.

Hasn't been done yet. You could get away with a 2 valve 5.4 while still being able to use the 4R70E tranny.

the best and easiest way would be to run a 2 valve 5.4 using adapters with your stock 4.6 intake manfold, wiring etc and a new Y-pipe (or headers)

any 2v 5.4 should swap. does that engine have the drive by wire throttle control? that would be a problem if it does if it doesn't its pretty straight up

the drive by wire is exactly why I suggested the use of the OP's current intake manifold and the use of the 4.6-5.4 adapters

Maybe a 2v 5.4 out of an e-series van would be straight up. They still use the 2v 5.4 in the new vans. I would think they would be drive by wire.
