Does Hess use Techron?

Hi I've been running Hess gasoline because I read it is American owned and doesn't come from the Middle East. I've been reading a lot of how Techron is top stuff, and was wondering if Hess uses it? If not, would it be just as good to continue putting in Hess gas and adding a Techron additive?

Techron is used by Chevron and Chevron owned Texaco stations. You can also purchase it at Walmart.

Ok so I'll just continue to fill up at Hess and add it. I put in that "tune up in a bottle" by Lucas, fuel system treatment..it's supposed to be pretty good based on some reviews I read. Would it be better to just add Techron?

Per MSDS at Lucas, it is 90% CAS 64742-54-7. That makes it 90% of nothing more than a Gp II oil. There's more value in a bottle of ATF than this one and neither one should ever be used in the fuel system. Stick with the Ford approved Techron.
Per MSDS at Hess, their gasoline has a variety of old school cleaners in it with the most being the Keytone family of solvents. They work and using Techron with ever tank full of gas is probably over kill. Depending on how much gas you use, I'd suggest using the Techron every other tank to every third tank.

Ok thanks I was just trying to find out what the ingredients are in the Lucas stuff..too much time on my hands lol. Is there any specific Techron additive that's recommended, or would anything with Techron be fine?

I was just reading some other threads, there are many mentions of the fuel system having moving parts that require lubrication..does Techron provide this lubrication?

Gasoline provides all the lubrication those parts need. Techron does not.

Every tankful would be a waste of your hard earned cash. A bottle at every oil change is fine.

Ok maybe I'll do that then..I didn't know it would work that well to just use it at oil changes, but that sounds like a good schedule to me.
