took it to ford got em done, took 3 hours none broke, makes me happy, 500 bucks later 60k miles on these, he said they were some of the easiest ones that he has done

LOL i was happy with that price $240 for ford plugs and 260 in labor, plus all the ford hats and stuff i bought while i was waiting was a little extra LOL

The plugs are $6.95 at rockauto.com. The dealer here charges $260 parts AND labor for a 3v plug change! This includes 1 or 2 free extractions.

 

Most dealers are capitalizing on this Ford problem by additionally bending over the customer, who is the reason why they are in business to begin with!

i've been debating about changing mine. i dont know if the PO ever changed them and the truck has 173k miles on the clock

 

yours will be easy to change you dont have 2 piece plugs

 

They raped you on the plugs! My dealer charged me $10 per plug, $80. Could that have included boots?

 

i have no idea i didnt look at the bill, but i dont think they raped me that bad because the autolites at another local store were 18 bucks so i thought might as well spend the extra couple bucks and get the motorcraft ones, ill check the bill after work

 

I know my local dealer is like that. They wanted $15 for the regular 2v plugs for my truck rock auto sells them for under $4. $30 is outrages. Labor seems a bit steep as well but as long as your happy with the results guess that all that maters.
